Consultation on a new Tenancy for the Private Rented Sector

The Scottish Government have launched a public consultation on the development of a new type of tenancy for the private rented sector. This will potentially affect every landlord, letting agent and tenant in Scotland.
This consultation seeks your views on the proposed outline of the new tenancy.

Particular concerns for landlords are proposals to remove the landlord’s right to end the tenancy at the expiry of the fixed term without having to use grounds for possession and the possible introduction of rent controls mid tenancy.
